Team India and Maharashtra batsman Kedar Jadhav began a new chapter in his cricketing career as he inaugurated his own cricket academy in Kothrud on March 14, 2021. Senior sports journalist Sunandan Lele, Sanmitra team’s Divakar Nimkar and Dhananjay Barve, Maharashtra coach Santosh Jedhe, Jadhav’s family, and cricket players from the State were present on the occasion.

The academy is equipped with two indoor pitches, a state-of-the-art bowling machine, a throwdown specialist, and day-night practice.

The 35-year-old sportsman announced the opening of his own cricketing academy in Pune. Jadhav hails from Pune and has captained Maharashtra in domestic cricket including Ranji Trophy. He has also scored a triple-century for the team apart from playing 78 FC matches for the team.

“Here’s to the start of an amazing Journey! Practice and coaching play a crucial role to give the players an uppercut to success. My dream to provide all the better facilities to the budding cricketers has finally turned into a reality today. Well equipped with all the International facilities, Kedar Jadhav Cricket Academy is all geared up to give the players a platform to script their successful cricketing journey,”
