All the die-hard tea lovers in Pune, there’s a small studio, Bai Mu Dan tucked in the heart of the city for you.
While artisanal coffee will always take away all the accolades in the town with various outlets, Bai Mu Dan in Koregaon Park next to Sunderbans is a paradise for every tea appreciator.
This exciting new place is nestled cozily under the beautiful old trees that Koregaon Park has kept intact. You wouldn’t want to leave the place even after spending hours there. The Japanese theme cafe is serving some amazingly unique teas, coffees and health packed food.
The teas have a finesse to themselves. These are slow brewed teas with various spices induced in them. You can taste every detail of every ingredient. The experience promises to be soulful and comforting for every mood. They have more than 10 varieties of Darjeeling teas, green and black teas.
While for coffee-lovers, there are various pour-over coffees, Vietnamese, black, white, manual brews and iced coffees to name a few. I swear I left my heart in the generous mug of white coffee that evening.
As for the food part, it’s a completely vegetarian menu, but I assure you, you will find every bit of it worth it. We tried the loaded veggie hummus sandwich which was hearty and of course the cinnamon rolls which had just the perfect amount of sweetness and cinnamon added to them. It went perfectly with our coffees.
If you’re looking to find a date place but are either a coffee or tea lover, don’t fight! We are suggesting you the perfect place to find a midground for both parties. One will definitely grow a fondness with so many options on the menu (no pun intended). If you’re lucky like me, you might also get to listen to a practice session of a few guitar players that gathered in the Japanese Hut that evening. Impromptu of course!
