Niraj Bulbule, the owner of Nagpuri Tadka, decided to serve these specialties because of the lack of availability of authentic Nagpur breakfast dishes in Pune. Since then, Nagpuri Tadka has been a hit amongst Punekars. You can get original Vidharbha flavours in each dish served here. Be it Saoji Rassa, Chana Pohe or Aloo Bonda!
Nagpuri Tadka has a simple menu but everything has a Nagpuri touch to it. Looking at the menu, we had to try their famous Tarri Pohe. A perfect lip-smacking fiery snack. True as the owner says “We don’t serve sample/sambar but typical Saoji Rassa with Pohe.” Spicy Saoji rassa that has boiled Chana is poured generously over Pohe and Flat Rice Chiwda. On the side a chunky tomato slice is served which gives a little tangy taste to Tarri Pohe. A mix of textures and awesomely spiced Rassa this dish will get you drooling!
Next we had their Aloo Bonda in Rassa and Kadhi! Well this isn’t your typical Aloo Vada. Mashed potato is blended in their secret spices and is then deep fried. This fried aloo bonda is mashed in a bowl and then Rassa and spicy Kadhi is poured over it. Finished off with onions and sev. This combination of fluids with Aloo Bonda is a total blast of flavours. Not to forget, obviously this dish is also spicy and tangy as it should be!
Everything at Nagpuri Tadka is made in-house from spices, rassa to even chiwda. Giving a personal touch to every single ingredient.
