Pune has a rich culinary heritage of so many legendary bakeries which have made it to the world map also. Now, the home bakers have been on the rise for the past few years and have given creations like Mango Rose Cake, Paithani Cake, Pull Out Cake, Photo Cake, Rasmalai Cake and what not! They are even making sourdough at their home baking units. One such home baker in NIBM has recently taken her business to the next level by retailing her freshly baked goods in a cute truck!
So here’s introducing Pune’s 1st bakery on wheels, The Bread Culture. We found this cute little truck standing near Cloud 9, NIBM and the whole display got us attracted towards it! First glimpse through the racks and we saw muffins, white bread, European Rolls, Pesto roll, garlic bread, Brownies, Cinnamon Rolls and what not. Everything baked in house by the homebaker herself who is there at the van to sell it as well!
The baker claims that all products are made by hand in the home using natural ingredients only. This definitely does reflect in all the products. We bought a White Loaf, pesto bread rich with fresh olive oil & garlicky aromas, cookies and a brownie. The freshness of the baked goodies was impeccable. We bet you have not had a fresher and homely bread than this. The olive oil, garlic and basil in the pesto bread spoke volumes about the quality of ingredients used.
The baker usually parks the truck in the evenings after the daily routine of baking at home. This routine ensures fresh products everyday. The Bread Culture has to be the most fascinating new bakery in Pune. Honest products using old school techniques and natural products make this truck a must visit and a great Urbanly recommendation too!
