Every city has its own street food which is very fondly called as World Famous! Foodies who are absolutely in love with street food often find themselves at a crossroads when they can’t find the authentic taste in their own city. One such city from Maharashtra famous for its street food is Amravati. And we have found for you the perfect, authentic and lipsmacking street food of Amravati in Pune itself.

‘Assal Amravati MH27’ in Karve Nagar offers the Amravati street food on their delicious menu. Starting with Gilawada, which is made from Udad Daal is served with Dahi and Sambhar (often called tarri). This dish has its roots in Bundelkhand but since the 70’s it has gained utmost popularity in Amravati. Just like Pune has its Misal, Mumbai has its Vadapav, Amravati has its Gilawada! Priced only at Rs.20/-, Gilawada is the perfect snack to gorge on.

Second dish we tried was the Sambhar Wadi. Oh my god!!! This has to be the highlight of their menu. It is a deep fried parcel with a stuffing of fresh coriander mixed with dried coconut (Kopra), poppy seeds(Khus Khus) and Peanuts. All of this is encased with a layer of Besan and Wheat Flour.  It is again served with either Tari if you want it spicy or served with Kadhi if you want it sour and sweet. Words aren’t enough to describe the unique taste but just to give you an idea, it felt like Kachori with a Vidarbha Twist.

There are other snack items as well like Mung Bhaje, Gadda Kachori, Palakwada, Tarri samosa and Kachori Mungda. All of these have the peculiar Amravati flavours.

Next time you feel like trying something new with all its uniqueness and authenticity intact to its roots, happily visit ASSAL AMRAVATI MH27. Your Good Mood deserves Good Food.
