In this episode of पुण्याचे Local Heroes we were joined by Shivajinagar’s MLA Siddharth Shirole as guest in discovering Marrakesh’s newly launched vegetarian Lebanese mezze spread. Our host, Urbanly’s founder Alok Thakar, and Pune’s young MLA are impressed by the veg options that Marrakesh has to offer!

Known for its authentic Middle Eastern flavours, Marrakesh has stepped up its game with a new and unique vegetarian menu. The menu featured salads and an impressive range of dips like Mutabal, Garlic Hummus, Peri Peri Hummus, and Muhammara.

With over 20 branches in Pune and Mumbai, this journey of Marrakesh showcases how they continue to innovate and delight foodies of the city.

The Garlic Hummus had the perfect creamy texture, this dip paired well all the snacks crackers and vegies. This dip was the perfect start to this journey that explores vegetarian Lebanese dishes and dips. The Muhammara Hummus was made of walnuts, tomatoes and olive oil. It had a strong tomato flavour which was also nutty. It proved the good quality, the love and efforts of Marrakesh commented MLA Siddharth Shirole. The Peri Peri Hummus had subtle spice and had nazuk flavours says Alok. The veggies and hummus had the zaatar spice mix as a garnish, which is a staple in Middle Eastern cuisine. This spice showed the credibility of Marrakesh and proves its true love to flavours and food.

This journey would have not been complete without Marrakesh’s special and popular Shawarma. To know about the special tip regarding the same from our founder, watch this episode on YouTube.

The thoughtfulness and creativity behind the vegetarian spread surprised us and we are sure you will feel the same! So if you are looking to explore new vegetarian delights, this mezze spread is a must-try. The next time you are in the mood for something extraordinary, head to Marrakesh and discover a taste of the Middle East right here in Pune.
