Want a place to sit back, relax,grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the quite and peace, and that too on the crux of Bhandarkar road and Prabhat Road?
Then, Cotton Village Café is the place to be. An extension of the lifestyle store, this café is a delight, for one can shop at leisure and then ponder over your shopping choices over a cup of coffee and one of the most delicious croissant sandwiches.
Opened about a fortnight ago, this cosy little sit-out dims out all the traffic noises, and transports you in a place far in one of the corner cafés found in France. The delectable aroma of fresh brewed coffee, the chinks of the coffee mugs and crusty sound of fresh Croissant makes you want to spend a longer time, lingering… over coffee and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
This little café has 12 covers, spread around the open space, each table overlooking the window display as well as the beautiful bright yellow wall, with white windows and trestle flower beds in every window.
“We wanted to utilize the space and wanted our clients to enjoy a quiet moment before or after their shopping spree in our store. We have seen this concept work in Jaipur and Delhi and thought of making such a café here,” said Alok Khurana, owner.
One cannot go wrong with a Cappuccino single for Rs 80 & double for Rs 120, while some of the regulars rave about the hot chocolate Rs 100. The café also has the cold variations of Iced Espresso Rs 80/ 110, Iced Americano Rs 90/ 120, and the menu will not be complete without variations of chai / tea both served hot or cold.
But what makes you hunger for more are the croissant sandwiches with some unbelievable fillings, my personal favourite Chicken and Celery Rs 220, Scrambled egg, Rs 160 and for vegetarians, the balsamic Mushroom, Rs 180. The moment they arrive on your table, and as you run your hand over the crust with filling oozing out, you simply can’t stop from taking a bite.
