At a time when most couldn’t find a way to sustain during lockdown on losing their jobs and facing losses in business, a 28-year-old who also lost his job during the lockdown came up his own startup to deliver tea at people’s doorstep.
Calling his venture ‘Abhimanyu’ he has now employed five more men like him who had lost hopes of any income because of the lockdown and the post trauma.
From earning Rs.12,000 a month to now making a total of Rs.50,000- Rs.55,000, Shinde has sure come a long way.
These men carry along a thermos, hot water, milk, tea leaves and sugar. They stop on road to offer the same, while those who now have their numbers call them at their home.
After losing his job as a security guard, Revan decided to go for a startup with little to no investment. Speaking about it, Revan Shinde said, “On losing my job, I had two options one was to be depressed and do nothing about it, the second was to get my act together and start afresh. I obviously couldn’t afford doing the first and started thinking of ideas to make money whilst doing something fun.”
“Most of us love tea and initially the chai tapris were not allowed to operate and thought of delivering the same to people’s doorstep. The business picked up overtime and I was in a position to offer jobs to the ones I knew personally who were struggling too,” he added
