‘Best Eats In Bibwewadi’ series gets interesting with every restaurant amazing us with their unique and delicious offerings. Today, we are telling you about the latest additions to Bibwewadi’s culinary world i.e. Bhujbal Bandhu’s Aapulki Hotel!

After a successful and still going strong stint near Rajaram bridge in Karve Nagar, Bhujbal Bandhus are in Bibwewadi with the dishes we love the most and are available only on their menu in entire Pune! This new branch of theirs is bang on the main Bibwewadi road, next to Monginis and Canara Bank.

If you like the natural flavours of meat (mutton & gavran chicken to be specific here), this is the place to visit. With flavours that are low on spices, dishes like Alni Bhaat (a very homely delicacy), Gavran Chicken Rassa, etc hit a very homely and comfort notes! It is not everywhere that you find gavran desi chicken on the menu everyday while their menu says none of the dishes are readily available. So the freshness of all dishes on the menu is always experienced.

Alni Bhaat is a simple recipe where homely Indrayani rice is cooked in meat stock with desi ghee, turmeric and fresh coriander. On a cold wintery day, this is the comfort food you want! Do not miss!

Most important highlight of their menu is vegetarian (surprise!), i.e. a Marathwada specialty named Maswadi. It is a highly recommended dish packed with flavours that is supposed to be gorged with Bhakri and mildly spiced rassa! Maswadi is a shallow fried roll made of gram flour covering and a filling of coconut, sesame and other spices taking this delicacy to another level. We doubt if there’s any other place than Bhujbal Bandhu’s Aapulki serving Marathwada special Maswadi!

There is one dish on the menu that we plan to try in the next visit, i.e. Dum Mutton Kheema. We will keep you updated on that. Until then, do visit new Aapulki Hotel in Bibwewadi.
