Located in Magarpatta in Pune, this is a 1800 square feet 3 bedroom residence designed by interior designer Raj Kothari of KORRA Architects & Interiors. Christened as ‘Our Happy Place’, this home is a mix of modern and contemporary styles. A few elements of this interior are modern and the rest are contemporary. While making use of bright colors, the designer has maintained a perfect balance throughout the house. The TV unit and sofas in the living room are designed in a contemporary fashion while the dining attached to this area is completely modern.
Though the residence has luxury elements in every corner, it still speaks of simplicity in its approach without making any loud noise. It is not just the living room where you find the luxury elements like deep sofas with metal inlay and shimmery gold artifacts; but the bedrooms also are equally luxurious with grand mirrors, marble floor and the same golden story getting carried forward!
Like all urban metro apartments, this one too has a small kitchen. But still the space has been maximised well with vertical tall storage units and roll-up shutters. While making the most of this tiny kitchen, it features almost every accessory a modern kitchen requires including wicker baskets. That’s how you manage a tiny space!
The apartment is blessed with a huge terrace attached to the living room. This terrace has been designed as an extension to the living room with a bit of greenery. It serves as the perfect relaxing and partying area for the family. Open the terrace doors and the grand party space is ready to host friends and family!
‘Balanced Luxury’ is how Raj Kothari defines this residence which he designed for a client who is a doctor. He made this house ready in six months from the scratch where complete flooring, plumbing and electrical layouts were worked on.
Using colors like deep blue, pink, grey to create accents; a timeless design, apt material selection without going overboard and sticking to the client’s brief to complete this project within the time frame; makes this the first Charming Home of this series!
