The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), with the help of BRICK School of Architecture, has transformed a 7,000 square feet street space into a beautifully designed public space at Prem Nagar slums, Market Yard.
Rohit Gadia, a member of the initiative, said, “A 7,000 square feet street space has seen a colourful transformation in Prem-nagar slums in Market Yard. The space which was underutilised before, and mostly used for parking, has been converted into a vibrant public space under tactical urbanism initiative.”
He said, “Currently, several activities have been planned for all age groups during a four-day event.”
