Review by Saurav Mahind:
Why? And Who approved this? Directed by Ganesh Shinde, Ekdam Kadak is yet another insufferable Marathi adult comedy trying to give a message by stooping even lower with the derogatory remarks.
The film starts with the establishment of the political scenario between the two villages. One village has a monopoly over the water flow in the region and that is why the other village is suffering from drought. This has been going on for years and the rivalry is increasing day by day. There comes a girl from Mumbai who apparently with her hotness changes peoples’ minds and the problem of water is solved. Yes, as if this could ever happen in the real life!
The comedy is so bad and derogatory that even a B grade film would have fared well. Even the names of the villages are named that way. The cast is the same old typecast actors who not at all look like school going kids. Parth Bhalerao needs to stop taking up movies like this if he wants to take his career seriously.
Story-wise the film had potential until the girl comes in. I could think of thousand different ways to solve this issue other than the sexist way the film used. We should really stop accepting such movies as an audience.
Ekdam Kadak is another miserable sex comedy that shouldn’t have been made in the first place. Surprised to see this getting a huge release.
