Plot:
After “De Dhakka”, the revolutionary scientist Makarand Jadhav and his family once again embark on a hilarious joyride to London which is full of adventure.

Review:
After struggling to release the sequel for the past two years, Manjrekar’s De Dhakka is finally in theatres. To my surprise it’s the same funny joyride as before.

Makarand after selling the engine part has now become a very big businessman. Each and every car of the world now runs on the part of Makarand. He is called upon to England with his entire family to felicitate him for his achievements. But as soon as the family lands in London the adventure takes crazy turns.

Shivaji Satam’s drunk persona will make you go gaga all over again. Siddharth’s different personalities are hilarious especially when he tries to converse in English. Makarand Jadhav is the glue holding this film together.

It is quite joyous to see Lavani in London. Other than that one, the songs aren’t that impactful. The era of slapstick comedy has slowly fizzled out in the recent past. De Dhakka in its time was one of the best Marathi slapstick comedies. The tone it set was outright hilarious.

The sequel doesn’t feel dragged at all and actually lives upto the expectations. It might get unrealistic after a point but it’s funny and it works. Manjrekar’s De Dhakka 2 is a nostalgic ride of sorts for Makarand Anaspure fans. It’s still better than all the other sequels around. Definitely Worth a watch!!!
