Review:
The first impression of the trailer of ‘Circuit’ gave was of a good action thriller with intense action and mystery. The expectations are high because ‘Circuit’ is adapted from a Malayalam movie ‘Kali’.

Circuitt starts with a typical college romance between the lead characters played by Vaibhav Tatwawadi and Hruta Durgule. Aarohi (Hruta) and Siddharth (Vaibhav) get married even before they know it. Arohi is an upcoming singer who is also very calm by nature. On the other hand, Siddharth is a Relationship Manager in a bank and has immense anger issues. Siddharth keeps facing normal incidents which trigger his anger issues even more. Arohi tries to help Siddharth to control his anger issues. Although a sudden turn of events land both of them in trouble.

Producer ‘Madhur Bhandarkar’ has missed a great opportunity to showcase the topic of anger. The film doesn’t have a proper flow to the story. A lot of scenes are left midway, without revealing the mystery. The incidents are put forth in a very improper way, showing as if Siddharth’s anger is unnecessary. That somehow confuses the audience.

Talking about the performances, neither Vaibhav Tattwawadi nor Hruta Durgule do justice to their characters. A very blunt performance by Hruta which literally will bore you and irritate after a point. Vaibhav Tattwawadi on the other hand is just frustrated throughout the movie. Not to forget one of the senior actors in this film – Milind Shinde who plays the role of a creepy truck driver, gives a mind-blowing performance. Even though his character doesn’t have a single dialogue except for a few filthy smiles and grins, he will make you feel eerie.

The background music of ‘Circuit’ is pretty good which makes the film bearable! Although background music is good, it doesn’t go with the scenes. And that is quite disappointing. There are hardly 2 songs in the movie which also are not up to the mark. The songs start at very random points and extremely bad lyrics make it even more disappointing.

All in all, Circuit is not an impressive debut by the director – Aakash Pendharkar. Watch it only if you have plenty of free time and a ticket is sponsored.
