Review
Vikram (Raj Kummar Rao), an officer with the Homicide Intervention Team (H.I.T.) needs to keep his personal conflicts aside to solve a kidnapping case of 2 girls, which includes his wife (Sanya Malhotra) too. Vikram is seen constantly battling the traumas of his past and some department clashes. How he solves the case while clashing with his inner demons is interesting to watch.

The movie is a Hindi remake of a Telugu movie with the same name and by the same director (Sailesh Kolanu). Although remakes can be hard to judge and tell the difference from the originals. Some remakes can be dull and not appeasing whereas some can surpass the original. Hit: The First Case is somewhere in the middle.

There’s no added masala in this movie. It’s a simple thriller that keeps you in suspense till the very end, and that’s what sets this film different from the movies of the same genre. For those who haven’t watched the original, the story is a bit predictable but yet will keep you jumbled. Some social issues in some scenes are serious and go very well with the story that they don’t feel forced.

The beauty of Rajasthan has been captured and presented so well that it’s a treat for the eyes. Raj Kummar Rao to has gotten the essence of the Rajasthani language perfectly. Along with the cinematography, the performances from the cast never lets a dull moment in. Raj Kummar Rao’s powerful performance is a treat for his fans.

The background score is average and some funny scenes keep it light. Some unanswered questions and unsolved mysteries hint at the movie’s sequel. What the sequel holds will be an interesting watch.
