Inspired by his travel stories and food eaten during various solo trips, Ajinkya Patil, very recently started this beautiful cafe setup in Akurdi. Aptly named as The Wanderlust Bistro, the place has ambiance and a menu that speaks TRAVEL!
In the bustling areas of Akurdi that has lakhs of college going youth residing nearby, such a place is a boon. Add to that some really unique and quirky dishes and it is a hotspot in the making. The menu features Maggi topped with Chicken popcorn, two of our favorite comfort foods in one plate! Let’s just wait for the monsoon to begin!
Ajinkya’s earlier branch of this bistro was in Talegaon Dabhade and ran successfully for almost five years and now The Wanderlust Bistro is in Akurdi. Their latest viral dish, Cheese Bath Burger made using charcoal buns is the ultimate cheat meal. Not to forget that it is going to make your insta stories viral too! Messiest burger we have ever had and yes, it was quite flavourful too.
Going a bit Asian, the menu features Korean bowls too! We tried their vegetarian version of the ramen bowl and it was full of sharp flavours. Loaded with noodles and fresh crunchy vegetables, this nutritious bowl has boiling hot broth that gives it all the flavour.
In the beverages section, Vietnamese Coconut Coffee and Exotic Hot Chocolate caught our eye. The cold coffee served the Vietnamese way is with a twist of coconut milk here. Coffee combined with the nutty flavours is the right tropical drink you need in this heat. When Monsoons hit Pune, Exotic Hot Chocolate on their menu is going to be a crowd favorite. Abundant number of marshmallows on the top of hot chocolate is the indulgence you need in life!
