Right from puris, murmura and papdis to even all farsan items, chutneys and masalas; everything at Manmohan Chaat is made inhouse. Started in 1962 by Shankarlal Purohit from Rajasthan, this chaat joint has maintained its originality along with hygiene!

Something that started out as a traditional Panipuri joint in 60s is now a full-fledged digital thela in Bhawani Peth serving a range of chatpata chaats! But the highlight is that this is the cleanest and most hygienic thela we have ever seen in Pune. Made with steel counters, digital screens, electric stoves, use of hand gloves, crisp branding and all that chamak-dhamak gives you the confidence.

It is the third generation of customers eating here regularly and their usual favorites are panipuri, ragda patties, ragda puri and masala puri! Their version of Ragda Puri and Masala Puri involves a huge crisp and flaky puri topped with tangy and crunchy ingredients. These chaats are nothing short of being a visual treat!

Water used for panipuri is RO treated, puris are made in house on daily basis, chutneys are fresh everyday- that makes sure you don’t have bad stomach or acidity the next day. We thoroughly enjoyed the tangy and crispy Masala Papdi too. It is quite a unique chaat inspired from Masala Papad but way different!

Though Shankarlal Purohit started Manmohan Panipuri in 1962, now it is run by Solankis who have taken the reigns from Purohits. The little rebranding has made it Manmohan Chaat now. Probably this could easily be the oldest chaat joint of Pune! Highly recommended for fresh and tangy chaats, fair prices and most importantly- hygiene and cleanliness!
