It’s been just 5 months since Awadh Kachori has started and Baner people are loving it already. This food joint is owned by Ashwini Mishra and managed by her brother Abhay Tiwari.
We were overjoyed to see the Kachori varieties on the menu. But the two dishes that caught our attention were Kachori Bhel and Dahi Kachori! The chaat lover inside had to try them.
First we went for Kachori Bhel, which you’ll only find at Awadh Kachori. A plate filled with tangy, spicy, sweet flavours and soft, crunchy kachori. The plate is a blast of colours which will tempt you even more. A huge Kachori is chopped in 4 pieces and topped with potatoes, chutneys, spicy farsan, etc! But the fresh lime juice, chatpata raw mango and pomegranate take this Bhel to new heights!!! A must must try for all chaat lovers and mind you, you will not get this anywhere else in Pune.
Even before we could recover from this chaat coma, the second highlight of Awadh Kachori was in front of us. Special Dahi Kachori, a cool chaat to deal with heat this summer. Sweet and chilled Dahi poured all over crushed Kachori with a special stuffing layered on top. It is a lip-smacking sweet and tangy chaat with loads of cold and creamy curd. This Special Dahi Kachori may not fill your tummy but will definitely satisfy your soul.
