On 18th September, Sunday, Vanderlande, Shri Kalpataru Sansthan and Pune Forest Department came together under the initiative of “Green Lungs” to plant 12000 trees at Taljai Hills to create a Manmade Jungle.
The “Green Lungs” will help reduce CO2 levels and more oxygen-rich air will be available for Punekars.
A total of 12000 trees of various rare species are planted on 5 acres on Taljai Hills, including more than 100 varieties of native trees.
The initiative was spearheaded by Martin Maasland from Vanderlande, Rashmi Chetan from Data Analytics, Vishnu Lamba aka Treeman of India from Shri Kalpataru Foundation, and Deepak Pawar from the Forest Department.
