This avid trekker and volunteer in a trekking organization converted her life-changing experience into the theme of her house Ganpati this year. Her small way of showing her gratitude.

Mansi is a go-getter and a driven girl. Her story is going to make woman-kind proud. Her academic is that of IT. But she’s an artist at heart. The saturation of the corporate world made her start a small business of handmade gifting options. Today, after 3 years of major ups and down in life thanks to the pandemic and other things she has managed to turn her hobby into a full-time business. This extensive topic is for some other day to explore for us. We will dedicate our pages to women like her soon. But today it is about her Ganpati.

Mansi visited Kedarnath with friends in 2021. It was more or less close to the second lockdown. But the temple premises were still open and with very few devotees around. With the place being so empty, Mansi got to experience the nooks and corners of the temple very closely. She managed to speak to the poojaris and aghoris around. This experience has been life-changing for her. She does believe that everything since then has turned around for good since.

As for the decoration, the thought behind it was very simple. The dedication is of course for the temple and its diety. And that is why the idol of bappa isn’t placed inside the temple. It has its place in the Himalayas made of cotton and cardboard. Depicting the fact that Bappa is the son of the God of the Himalayas and its place is in its lap.

My talk with Mansi and her story of Kedarnath has gotten me into some self-perception mode. Are we bigger than nature? We can never be right. Hence, let us do our bit to save ourselves, the nature is already saving itself. Share with us your bit you are doing to become eco-friendly.
