We all are aware of the trash and pollution created at the end of Ganeshotsav every year! Most of it is caused by idols of Lord Ganesha made of plaster of paris which is not an eco-friendly material.
Pune’s very own Handmade Paper Institute is bringing an opportunity to you to do your bit towards the environment and still enjoy Ganeshotsav to the fullest. This Sunday, i.e. tomorrow 28th August, the institute is holding a ‘Paint Your Own Eco-friendly Bappa’ workshop. The Eco-ganpati made from 80% paper pulp and only 20% shaadu maati. And guess what, you can take home the same idol that you painted and keep it in your home through 10 days before visarjan!
The workshop is held in association with the ArtPune Association. This is a great and a fun way to enjoy Ganeshotsav and to save environment at the same time.
