GoCoop has organised a Go-Swadeshi exhibition in Pune bringing clusters of artisans, weavers from pan- India under one roof. Be it handloom fabrics like Chanderi, Shibori, Bhagalpuri, Mangalgiri, etc or prints like Dabu, Jaipuri Block, Ajrakh, Lucknowi Aari Work, etc; Go Swadeshi exhibit has it all under the same roof!
Go Swadeshi Exhibition: Indraprastha Hall, SB Road, Opp Chaturshingi temple, Pune.
18th August to 24th August, 2022.
Unlike every time, the venue of the exhibition has changed this time. But believe us the exhibit has only gotten better with time. Handlooms, handicrafts, authentic handmade products for self use, gifting, home decor are amongst a million other things that are up for display all under one roof. The best part would be that GoCoop has ensured that the pricing is fair for both the buyer and seller.
Be ready to be surprised with the variety of handlooms when you enter the exhibit. Weavers from the north eastern part of the country to South, are all present there. The minute detailing on the sarees and dupattas, various never seen before prints on the best quality of hand woven materials won our hearts immediately.
For a fan of customised stitching and fitting, be it man or woman, this place is just for you!
What we couldn’t take our eyes off from were the variety of quilts. Yes quilts!! With the incessant rains for the past 2 months now and remembering the winters Pune experienced last year this corner is definitely inviting. Punekars, load up on these quilts before you run out of options to pick from. The artisans are also taking orders to customize these to your preferences for length, thickness, prints and will deliver them to your address.
Do give the exhibition a visit. Let’s craft a change and give these humble artists a much deserved applause and appreciation. Their smiles will remain in your heart for a very long time, exactly like it did in ours!
