Chaurahe Ke Paar, just like the name, is a gorgeous place to meet & connect with fellow passengers / friends over a cup of coffee & sandwich or just a refreshing evening drink!!!
This café cum Lounge is located at the crossroads of Lane no 7, Koregaon Park & has two levels of absolute blissful environment to offer to the guests.
On the topmost level, the place has this huge open air terrace with a complete garden-like atmosphere overlooking the green zone of the Army Institute. At one end of this terrace is the bar with a lovely bamboo covering & warm yellow lights which truly create the warmth once the sun sets. The other end of the terrace is the stage for daily gigs & karaoke evenings.
The same floor has a unique interior which offers 2 booths as co-working spaces & a very beautifully done library with lounge seats. You can take a book, order a coffee/drink & just look outside at the beautiful greens & enjoy some ‘Me Time’. This space also offers an amphitheatre style seating for poetry meets or storytelling sessions!
Here is where you will find the brother & sister duo who own this place, Tanishq being a poetry fan & his sister Tanya being a net savvy person who is always on the lookout for new ideas. They are a bit shy but a little chat with them and they were absolutely the best hosts that one can ask for.
There is also a small private room with lounge sofas which has gaming consoles for all the kids/adults who can get food & drinks served here while they are playing away on the Playstation! For all the parents, this place can take care of your kids while you are on a date night with your partner.
Then we come down through a huge wooden staircase to the floor below which is the lounge which is a two level bar! Just when you think that this place is over, there is more to offer – another area which has beautiful water bodies & comfortable booth style seating!
Talking about the food, some drinks & dishes that I tried are as below :-
- Bartender’s Move – Gin and Baileys cocktail with litchi juice served in a coupe glass and garnished with fresh cherries.
- Yellowed Earth – Tequila based cocktail served with orange juice, pineapple juice and lime juice in a margarita glass.
- Crisps & Dips – Beetroot hummus, spinach hummus, plain Hummus and hung curd dip along with in-house khakhra, lavash and crudites.
- Butter Chicken Puchka – Creamy butter chicken in a crispy golgappa, what’s there not to love?
- Main Course was Mutton Junglee Maas– A spicy and smoky mutton curry flavoured with red chillies and garlic.
- For the dessert, Baked Lotus Cheesecake – Lotus Biscoff made into a cheesecake.
For all those looking for something fresh and new, here is a must visit place for all your drinking & dinning & lounging & chilling out needs!!!
