The sweet folks at Sweet Bengal, unique Bengali mithai outlets, have incorporated Alphonso into the 8 most famous Bengali sweets this month! The special limited-time festival is called ‘Mango Mania’ by the parent company Specialty group of restaurants.
We visited Sweet Bengal for this special festival as we all love the dear Alphonso to try all the 8 sweet delicacies. It turns out that ‘The Mango Mishti Festival’ has right from Rosogulla & Sondesh to Doi, all amalgamated with the goodness of mangoes!
The highlight of the lot would be Mango Doi and 4 varieties of Sondesh, all having a Mango twist to them! The list of Mango Sondesh includes Aam classic Sondesh, Bhapa Sondesh, Baked Sondesh, and Bhura Sondesh! They all have a unique consistency, texture and flavour profile!
For someone who just wants to have a light lunch, we suggest you go for Mango Malai Pot. Filled with delicious mango cream, nuts and Mango Rosogullas in it; this is pretty much a light meal on summery noon!
The Mango Mania festival is on for one more month at both their outlets in Pune, viz. SB Road & City Point at Dhole Patil Road. All the varieties are available on Zomato and Swiggy for home delivery as well! Eat-in or eat out, but do eat these for sure!
