Movie Review:
Are we heading towards the same direction as slapstick comedies from Bollywood? Repetitive and frustrating to watch. Well, maybe because Teen Adkun Sitaram certainly feels like one!!!
Pushkar (Vaibhav Tatwawadi), Ajinkya (Sankarshan Karhade) and Koutilya (Alok Rajwade) are three friends who have flung their fathers’ reputations for a toss. One such incidence involving two political parties creates a huge ruckus.
Pushkar’s father (Vijay Nikam) and Ajinkya’s father (Anand Ingale) both belong to the said political parties. Their fathers ask them to move out to London and hide in order to teach them a lesson. But when they land, they find themselves in even bigger problems. They get arrested after a mishap leads them into drug possession.
How will they get out of this rut and piling problems is how the story moves forward. The first half is really quick and moves at a fast pace. The second half fumbles and ruins all the build up.
Hrishikesh Joshi and Tejas Ranade have cooked up quite a quirky tale here! While their screenplay falls short of the excitement meter, the comedy bits do manage to tickle the funny bone. However, things take a dramatic turn in the second half, and it gets a tad too intense for our liking. Nevertheless, the dialogues, especially the ones with a cheeky twist, are on point!
Every technical department cooks up an ordinary mix of things, be it Hrishikesh Joshi’s direction, Kushal Inamdar’s music or even Amol Salunkhe’s cinematography. Vaibhav Tatwawadi is fun to watch but the other two friends, Sankarshan Karhade and Alok Rajwade don’t offer much. Hrishikesh Joshi as Picaso is really interesting.
Overall, Teen Adkun Sitaram is a mix bag of laughter and drama but surely a ‘leave your brains at home’ affair! Not sure if this would even hit OTT anytime soon. So if you have time to kill, go for it!
